Joint Service in Currie Kirk at 11.15am.

 

21st December — Carol Sing-a-Long with the Kirk Singers.

Gibson Craig Halls. 2-3pm. Refreshments will be served.

 

24th December — All Age Family Service. 6pm-6.45pm.

Come and join the Nativity at the Gibson Crag Halls.

 

24th December — Watchnight Service. 11.30pm.

Kirk open at 11pm for refreshments. Service led by John Sawkins.

 

25th December — Christmas Day.

Joint Service with Balerno in Currie Kirk at 10am.

Service led by Rev Roy Henderson.

 

28th December — Currie Kirk at 11.15am.

Service led by Rev Stuart Fulton.

Next meeting on Thursday 11th December at 2.00pm-3.00pm in the Lounge at the Gibson Craig Halls. This is a monthly reflective Prayer Group. All are welcome.

 

Quiet Day in Currie Kirk —

(Incorporating a Service of Remembrance at 12 noon)

Saturday 13 December 2025  10.00 am — 2.00 pm

 

The Church will be open from 10.00 am—2.00 pm on Saturday 13th

December to provide an opportunity to come into the Church just before Christmas and relax for a time, (come when you can, go when you must!) away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations. We can enjoy the peace and ambience of our beautiful Church and have some moments of quiet contemplation about the real meaning of Christmas and the coming of Jesus into a troubled world.

 

There will be a Service of Remembrance at 12 noon lasting about 30/45 minutes. Through prayers, readings and the lighting of candles we will give thanks for those whose memory is treasured from any time in our life.

All are welcome.

 

Carol singing at Balerno Farmers Market —

Saturday 13th December, Balerno Main Street. Meet in Foyer of Mill Café at 9.50am and wrap up warmly! Come and join us. All are welcome. Words & music provided. Have fun singing some

well-known traditional carols. 

 

Carol Sing Along with the Kirk Singers —

Sunday 21st December from 2-3pm.

Tea, coffee and lovely mince pies!

 

Balerno Village Screen —

Tuesday 23 December.

It’s a Wonderful Life – starting at 5.00pm

(doors open from 4.30pm)

at St Joseph's 4 Main Street Balerno EH14 7EH.

Volunteers —

Volunteers are needed for duties at the Christmas Services as

follows:

Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December)

6.00pm in the Gibson Craig Hall and 11.30pm in the Kirk.

Christmas Day (Thursday 25th December)

10.00am in the Kirk.

 All members of the congregation are most welcome to assist — you do not have to be an elder. Please add your name to the list in the reception area.
