Family Worker

My name is Heather Merriman and I have lived in Currie nearly all my life!  In August 2017 I began my role as Family Worker for Currie Kirk and Juniper Green Parish Church after previously working for Scripture Union (SU) Scotland.  When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, walking in nature and baking.

 My role is very varied and in a week I get up to lots of different things!  From Toddler groups to committee meetings to youth events, SU groups in schools to Messy Church to visiting Boys Brigade, planning time in the office to church services to teaching in schools – it’s all in there!  I love the variety and all the different people I get to meet each week and there are so many opportunities to share the love of God with people.
